How It Works

What to expect, from first call to discharge

No mystery, no open-ended packages. Here is exactly how a course of treatment runs at our clinic.

  1. 0145–60 min

    Full assessment

We take your history, test your movement, strength and joints, and find the structure that is actually driving your symptoms — not just the spot that hurts.

  2. 02Same visit

    A plan you can see

You get a clear explanation of the diagnosis, the treatment plan, and an honest estimate of how many sessions it should take. Most patients start treatment the same day.

  3. 03Each session

    Treat, load, re-test

Hands-on treatment is paired with graded exercise, and we re-measure as we go. If the numbers are not moving, the plan changes — we do not repeat a treatment that is not working.

  4. 04End of course

    Discharge, not dependence

The goal is to finish. You leave with a maintenance programme and the knowledge to manage flare-ups yourself, rather than an open-ended course of appointments.

Why The Muscular Junction

Evidence-based is a standard, not a slogan

Plenty of clinics use the phrase. In practice it means six specific things about how we work — and you should hold us to every one of them.

More about our approach
  • The same therapist, start to finish

You are not handed between staff each visit. One clinician owns your case, so nothing gets re-explained and nothing gets lost.

  • Assessment before treatment — always

No one gets put on a machine before we know what is wrong. Every plan follows a full physical assessment, and we tell you what we found.

  • Hands-on work and exercise together

Manual therapy opens the window; loading keeps it open. Passive treatment alone gets you relief that fades by the next morning.

  • Re-measured, not guessed

Range, strength and function are re-tested through the course. If the numbers stop moving, we change the plan rather than repeating it.

  • Clinicians who teach clinicians

Dr. Syed Mozaffar runs certified dry needling, Mulligan, HVLA and cupping workshops for practising physiotherapists across Pakistan.

  • Discharge is the goal

You get an honest estimate of how many sessions you need, and a maintenance plan at the end. We are not trying to keep you on the books.

Common Questions

Before you book

The things patients ask us most often, answered honestly.

Where is The Muscular Junction physiotherapy clinic located?

The Muscular Junction is located in Zone V, River Gardens, Islamabad. We regularly treat patients travelling from across Islamabad and Rawalpindi, including Bahria Town, DHA Islamabad, Gulberg Greens, Soan Gardens and PWD.

Do I need a doctor's referral to book a physiotherapy session?

No referral is needed. You can book directly with The Muscular Junction on WhatsApp, by phone, or through the online booking form. If you already have an MRI, X-ray or a surgeon's protocol, bring it — it helps us plan your rehabilitation faster.

What happens in the first physiotherapy appointment?

Your first visit is a full assessment lasting around 45 to 60 minutes. We take your history, test your movement and strength, explain what we believe is causing the problem, and agree a treatment plan with you — including roughly how many sessions it should take. Most patients also start hands-on treatment in that same visit.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the condition. Most musculoskeletal problems such as back pain or a frozen shoulder improve over 4 to 8 sessions, while post-operative and sports rehabilitation typically runs 8 to 16 weeks. You will be given an honest estimate at your first assessment, and we review progress as we go rather than booking open-ended courses.

What conditions do you treat at your physiotherapy clinic?

We treat back and neck pain, sciatica, sports injuries, frozen shoulder, arthritis, sprains and strains, post-surgery and post-fracture rehabilitation, stroke and other neurological conditions, and pediatric developmental delays — using manual therapy, sports rehab, orthopedic, neurological and pediatric physiotherapy, dry needling and cupping.

Is a female physiotherapist available?

Yes. Dr. Niha Batool sees female patients who prefer a female therapist. Please mention this when you book so we can schedule you with her directly.

What are your clinic timings and how do I book?

The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and is closed on Sunday. The fastest way to book is WhatsApp — send us a message and our team will confirm a slot, usually the same day.

Do you offer physiotherapy workshops and training for clinicians?

Yes. We run hands-on, certified physiotherapy workshops in Islamabad — Dry Needling, Kinesio Taping, Mulligan Techniques, HVLA Chiropractic, Cupping Therapy and Therapeutic Exercise — led by Dr. Syed Mozaffar. We also arrange in-house training for clinics and universities.

Ready to stop working around the pain?

Book a full assessment and find out what is actually going on — usually within a day or two.
